Professor

Prof. Abhijit Saha has approximately 17 years of experience in teaching and research. He served in various faculty positions for more than 16 years at the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur, Odisha, under Biju Patnaik University of Technology, and for more than 1 year at The Neotia University, Sarisha, West Bengal. He joined BCRCP as a Professor on 11/12/2025. He has supervised more than 30 Master’s degree (M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis) students in their research projects. He qualified the GATE examination in 2006 and 2008. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. Dr. Saha successfully handled a UGC-sponsored research project funded by the Government of India, New Delhi, from 2013 to 2015. He has published more than 15 research papers in internationally reputed journals, along with 2 book chapters and 3 papers in the proceedings of national and international conferences. Prof. Saha serves as a reviewer for journals such as Current Drug Metabolism, Combinatorial Chemistry & High Throughput Screening, and Frontiers in Microbiology. His research interests include drug design, synthesis of novel anticancer compounds, pharmaceutical analysis, and phytochemical extraction.
