Prof. (Dr.) Biswajit Basu is a distinguished academic and researcher in pharmaceutical sciences, currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the Dr. B.C. Roy College of Pharmacy & AHS, Durgapur, West Bengal, former professor of School of Health & Medical Sciences, Adamas University, Kolkata. With over 19 years of teaching experience, he has made significant contributions to the field, particularly in nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems.

• Research Focus: Dr. Basu specializes in industrial pharmacy, with a keen interest in novel drug delivery systems. His research encompasses self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery systems (SNEDDS), solid lipid nanoparticles, hydrogels, microspheres, and in-situ gels. He has also worked on preformulation studies and the development of co-processed excipients for fast-dissolving tablets using Quality by Design (QbD) approaches.
• Publications: He has authored over 85 publications in reputed pharmaceutical journals and contributed to 38 book chapters published by renowned publishers such as Elsevier, Apple Academic Press, Wiley, and Springer.
• Patents: Dr. Basu holds several patents, including innovations like a microreactor for nanoparticle synthesis, machines for cancer vaccine production, a portable 3D printer for nanofiber development, and a sensor-based early diabetes detection device.
