Admission Process

Dr. B. C. Roy College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences with its D.Pharm, B.Pharm and M.Pharm courses aim to open doors of opportunities in the fields of Pharmacy. In-depth knowledge and intensive practical training offers the students conceptual learning that suits best in dealing with the professional challenges. 

To be a part of Dr. B. C. Roy College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences candidates are required to cater to the following eligibility criteria. 

To take admission in B. Pharm courses candidates  – 

  • Should have passed 10+2 examination with physics and chemistry
  • Should have Mathematics/computer application/biology/ biotechnology/computer science as one of the compulsory subject 
  • Should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the above three mentioned subjects (40% if in case the candidate belongs to the reserved category)
  • Should have passed English (10+2) with a minimum of 30% marks 
  • Should have qualified WBJEE or JEE (Mains) on the admission year
  • The board examination(10+2) must be recognised by the central or state government

To take admission in M. Pharm courses candidates  – 

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and through PGET Examination conducted by MAKAUT
  • Should have Mathematics/computer application/biology/ biotechnology/computer science as one of the compulsory subject 
  • Should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the above three mentioned subjects (40% if in case the candidate belongs to the reserved category)
  • Should have passed English (10+2) with a minimum of 30% marks 
  • Should have qualified WBJEE or JEE (Mains) on the admission year
  • The board examination(10+2) must be recognised by the central or state government

To take admission in D. Pharm courses, candidates are required to – 

  • Cater to the above-mentioned criteria
  • Have completed the age of 17 on or before 1st January of the year of admission
  • Have passed 10 + 2 examination or its equivalent examination in the General Stream Courses along with Physics, Chemistry and biology or mathematics

Candidates passing 10+2 examination or equivalent examination in Vocational Stream are not eligible for admission in D. Pharm as stated by the Pharmacy Council of India. 

After you cater to the eligibility criteria mentioned above you can take admission with us post discussion. 

Documents to be carried at the time of admission -

  • Admit certificate / card of the respective board mentioning the candidates age / date of birth (original + two photo copies)
  • Admit card of WBJEE / JEE (Mains)/ PGET/ Common entrance test for diploma (original + two photo copies)
  • Marksheet for 10 + 2 and 10 examination  (original + two photo copies)
  • Coloured photograph -Stamp size (8 copies)
  • Candidates wearing glasses are to carry the recent certificate showing the power of the glasses
  • Admission fee
  • Migration certificate for those who are registered under the universities / boards other than West Bengal Council 
  • Registration certificate (original) for the B. Pharm passed out candidates of MAKAUT, WB and along with two photo copies
  • Character certificate issued by last institution
  • Allotment letter of WBSCT / WBJEE and SD and VE for centralised counselling alloted candidates
  • Aadhar card  (original + two photo copies)
  • M. Pharm applicants are to bring along the photo copies of Pharmacists Registration Certificate
